Black-headed Ibis:  

UK Status: Non resident, introduced to zoos and parks.

Habitat: This bird is found in the south, and south east of Asia, and as far east as Japan.

Breeding: Nesting only in the rainy season building nest in a Heronry like colony in tall mature tree's. These nesting spots can be found in towns and cities with suitable trees. Nests are made of sticks, mostly lined with grass. Usually one brood a year, and these birds lay two to four dull, whitish eggs.

Comment: These large birds are one of numerous species if Ibis and Storks. Although their natural habitat is wetlands, they can often be found foraging in many types of man made habitats.
