Eurasian Magpie:   UK Status: Resident.

Habitat: This is found is found in many habitat types including, gardens, parks, tall hedgerows, woods and heaths.

Breeding: This bird seems to require fairly tall dense thorny, or prickly shrubs to nest in. They build a nest of sticks and twigs, with a domed roof over the top. There is an entrance hole on one side of the nest, Eggs number five to eight per clutch, and are pale blue heavily streaked and mottled with darker brown.

Comment: This beautiful largish black and white bird, with it's bluish purple iridescent sheen is fairly common throughout the British Isles.
