Ox-eye Daisy: UK Status: Native and resident. Flowering Period: Flowering from late May through to September. Appx Height: Depending on growing conditions up to 60cm tall. Habitat: This plant is a member of the same family as the Dandelion, and other daisies. It is often seen on roadside verges, canal paths, disused railway lines, hedgerows, waste ground and many other places where the soil conditions are suitable. Unlike the Common daisy this plant will grow amongst tall grasses, and competes well with other herbaceous species. Comment: In the British Isles the plant is wide spread and common. |
