Marsh Marigold:

UK Status: Native and resident.

Flowering Period: From late March through to June, or even early July.

Appx Height: 30cm up to 60cm.

Habitat: This is a marshland plant, and likes shallow wet and marshy areas and drainage ditches. It is a member of the Buttercup family (Ranunculaceae), and the flowers are noticeably similar. It used to be commonly known as the 'Kingcup'.

Comment: This plant is common in some wetlands and widely distributed in the British Isles.
