White-crested Turaco:  

UK Status:  This bird is native to Africa, but can be found in UK zoo's and wildlife parks.

Habitat: Found in a large belt of riverine forest between Eastern Nigeria and Western Kenya. Also to be found in Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad,  Central African Republic, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Southern Sudan, Kenya and Uganda. Preferred habitats are lowland forest, woodlands, savannah and hilly ground up to seventy two hundred feet.

Breeding: This birds breeding season varies in timing from one country to another, August in Uganda and April in the Congo for instance. Nest structures are saucer shaped, and very insubstantial and flimsy in terms of sticks, twigs and leaves used. There are two to three white coloured eggs in a clutch

Comment: This bird eats fruit and berries, also some types of invertebrates and flowers.
