Common Gorse:

UK Status: Resident, and native to the UK.

Flowering Period: From January through into June, depending upon seasonal conditions. It does have quite a long extended flowering period.

Appx Height: From two two three metres in height.

Habitat: This plant is tolerant to a wide range of soils, and is found in many types of habitat. These habitats include heaths, moors, hedgerows, commons, woodland and even gardens.

Comment: Fairly common throughout the UK, and is a delight to see in the springtime. This plant is also known as Furze and Whin.
