Purple Loosestrife:

UK Status: Native and Resident.

Flowering Period: From June through into August.

Appx Height: From about three and a half feet, and up to six and a half feet tall.

Habitat: This plant likes being in the open in damp to wet soils, though can sometimes be found on dryer soils.

Comment: This plant has flowers that are generally pink to purplish in colour. However white and bluish coloured forms although scarcer can be seen from time, to time. It has three distinct flowering type stalks, which can confuse identification.
