Status: Resident in UK.

Wing Span: 28mm to 38mm.

Flight Period: April to June, again in August and September.

Habitat: Roadsides, meadows, parks, rough gardens, and other places where food plants grow.

Comment: Moths of this species are a common and wide spread in the UK, and Orkney.

Status: Resident in UK.

Wing Span: 50mm to 78mm.

Flight Period: July and August.

Habitat: Habitats for the Garden Tiger Moth are gardens, parks, waste ground, road side verges, where ever the food plants grow.

Comment: Moths of this species are common and widely distributed resident in British Isles, as far north as Orkney.
